What
are considered 'hazardous sports' and are they covered in a
standard short
term medical travel insurance plan? 'Hazardous Sports' most
often include such
activities as motorcycle/motor scooter riding, hang
gliding, parachuting, bungee
jumping, water skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling,
snow boarding and rock climbing,
to mention a few. A standard
medical travel insurance policy normally excludes
these activities... however,
you can often add an optional low cost rider to the policy
that will cover these
activities. There are also policies available designed specially
to cover
such 'hazardous sports'.
